Changelog

What's new in ENDGRAIN, newest first.

v1.5.2

  • A figured board no longer keeps the shop drawing at full speed after its shimmer has played.

v1.5.1

  • The shop now asks for a rating at a good moment, at most three times a year, and the back office has a RATE THE SHOP row.

v1.5.0

  • When a market is about to close unplayed, a last-call notice drops into the header so you can still play it.

v1.4.4

  • The filled order no longer flashes across the top of the screen; it slides up into its own row and disappears there.

v1.4.3

  • Ending an exhibition run now takes a second tap, and the last run you ended can be restored for 12 vouchers from the plaque book; the run card on THE WALL opens the plaque book.

v1.4.2

  • HOW TO PLAY in the back office now explains the whole game — the shop, vouchers and coins, the market, the Business License, the coin exchange, and that nothing resets — with every number on it read live from the game.

v1.4.1

  • The coin exchange now prices by the shop's year, half a percent of the coins on hand in Year One rising each year to 5% from Year Five on, so a shop in Year Five or later pays ten times what it paid before.

v1.4.0

  • A licensed shop can now trade coins for vouchers from the voucher packs screen, 12 at a time, up to ten times a year, for half a percent of the coins on hand.

v1.3.0

  • Markets pay more the longer you keep filling orders: every 3 orders past 9 earns another voucher reward, shown as +1, +2, +3 on the stall and the receipt, and market orders lean simpler from the first year.

v1.2.0

  • The privacy page now lists everything the game sends, including the app version, the device model and error reports.

v1.1.3

  • Finishing board 37 or later now shows the finished board on the ceremony screen.

v1.1.2

  • The year card now shows your exact coin balance.
  • A record run that earns a fossil piece now shows the piece landing on its picture.

v1.1.1

  • A barnwood strip you earned no longer takes the place of a strip you bought at the lumber yard.

v1.1.0

  • ENDGRAIN now runs on iPad and on tablets, as a larger version of the iPhone game.

v1.0.2

  • Every shop order opens one Order Details sheet: BUILD when a board fills it, SKIP when none does, and each wood in the board order is a chip you can tap to name it.
  • Tap anywhere on an order card in the shop to open its Order Details.
  • When a full lane would fill an order, that order lights up with a gold ring.
  • An order now counts only when the board's strips read in the order's own order: bottom to top in the lane is left to right on the card. Wild, rosewood and bog-oak strips still fill any slot.
  • The first mixed order's tip now says which way an order reads: left to right on the card, bottom up in the lane.
  • Tap the calendar on the sign to see how many builds are left before the next month.
  • Year One is re-paced: each month's moments arrive in their month, all six woods are in the shop by July, and the first lanes cost half as much.
  • A special order that comes due while another is on screen now waits its turn instead of being lost.
  • A special order's SKIP is now voucher blue, like every other voucher spend.

v1.0.1

  • Each run milestone now hangs one plaque in COLLECTIONS, once: a run that breaks starts again from 0 on the rung you were climbing, the plaques you were owed hang at the current year, and the door shows your highest. A run of 2 now warns you before a plain board ends it.
